ABOUT MUSIC LESSONS
E-Sharp Music provides top-quality instrumental music education to all our learners. We offer lessons for all ages and abilities. Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced and are passionate about music and music education. Our compassionate approach to teaching music is considerate to all learners’ individual learning styles and personalities. We aim to instill a life-long passion for musical engagement in our learners by fully developing each learner’s musical potential. At E-Sharp Music we understand that different learners have different goals. Therefore, we welcome those learners who want to become professional musicians, but also those who want to learn music for the extra-musical benefits that music education holds. Ultimately, our goal is to teach for well-being. We believe that students gain life-long skills such as discipline, perseverance, and self-confidence which will carry them well beyond their musical studies.

WHAT WE OFFER
We offer in-person music lessons in Vaalpark and Sasolburg. The instruments we teach includes piano, keyboard, guitar, violin, recorder, flute, pipe organ and vocal training. We also include music theory in our curriculum because we want our learners to have and in-depth understanding of practical musicianship. For our more serious learners we offer examinations through international exam boards such as UNISA, Trinity College, ABRSM and Rock School. Formal assessment is not mandatory and our non-exam learners are taught in a fun and engaging way, whilst still optimizing their learning experience. All our learners are given the opportunity to participate in performances and eisteddfods throughout the year, should they wish.
OUR MUSIC EDUCATORS
We believe that the correct learner/educator fit is imperative to good education. Musical progress is very important to us, but more so are having fun whilst being challenged. Nothing beats the sense of accomplishment when mastering a difficult skill such as playing an instrument. We love sharing our passion!

She have seen first-hand the many benefits that music can provide for children, such as the development of cognitive skills like memory, language, and concentration. Music is Franz’s life. He is adamant that music builds bridges over continents. To him, music is a way of life, not a mere hobby. He insists that musicians will always grow and will never know everything that there is to know about music. Beethoven is Franz’s inspiration, because “he coloured the world with magnificent sounds despite being deaf.” Franz’s motto is to live “despite of” not “because of.” Franz regards music as a privilege.
